Why trust Instinct Mindset

Founder’s Story: Even as a child I tended to make every problem harder than it had to be. I would over think it, question myself, and then not follow through on a solution because I either didn’t see quick results or I found the process too complicated to keep my attention span and implement. I would then get frustrated, scrap everything, and retreat back into my own head where negativity continued to spiral and build steam.

Who has the time, bandwidth, and attention span for 12 steps, 9, or even 7? When I get off the rails or better yet, to always stay on the rails, I need to lean into the absolute basics so I can keep moving forward. I was and am still semi famous for “1 step forward, 2 steps back” because I can easily fall back into bad habits.

I encourage the regular training of martial arts for so many reasons but training good habits through repetition is #1. Martial arts are not primarily for self-defense in today’s modern world. Their primary day-to-day use is to make the rest of life easier. Pick one the resonates with you and build your community and accountability through it.
